The Population Council (Mexico) General Consignment Study
母親の就業が児童の身体成長に与える影響について分析するために、乳幼児の栄養不良と母親の就業率がメキシコ国内で最も高い地域の一つである、チアパス州太平洋沿岸のバナナプランテーションで調査を実施した。得られたデータからは、パス解析の手法を用いて、(1)母親の現金収入がもたらすプラスの効果と、(2)労働時間によって失われる子供のケアに対するマイナスの効果を統計的に区別し、それぞれのインパクトの大きさの比較を試みた。
